Fall Practice Schedule
8/24/2011
Practices will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday night from 6-9pm starting September 5th at the new tennis courts across from Towers. Dues will be $40 for the semester and include court time, tennis balls, and a t-shirt!

We need volunteers to pick up trash on the rail trail this Thursday at 2pm. It will only be for an hour. Gloves and bags will be provided to all participants by the city.
Also, we are now accepting nominations for next year’s officers. Please e-mail Jamie with your nomination (you can nominate yourself). We will be sending out e-mails for voting, if there are multiple nominations for the same position, and with results. The offices are:

We will be wrapping up this semester due to weather and the varsity team using a lot of court time currently. E-mails will be sent out later this summer regarding next Fall. Good luck on finals and have a great summer!!
Need a Ride?

If you are in need of a ride to practice, there is a new page on the site where you can request a ride. It is best if the request is submitted at least an hour before the practice, but you will still get an answer if you submit it later. You can find the request page here.
Spring Practice Schedule

Practices will be every Monday and Thursday from 9-10pm starting Jan 20th at the Ridgeview Tennis Center. Ridgeview is strict about what types of shoes are worn so please make sure to wear non-marking tennis shoes. Dues for this semester will be $30. If you need a ride to practice, please call Jamie at 304-549-4999.

Fall Intraclub Tournament

The Intraclub Tournament will be held on Friday, October 23rd and Sunday, October 25th at the Coliseum Varsity Tennis Courts. The sign-up forms are now live and can be found by clicking here.
Fall Practice Changes

Due to a scheduling conflict with the Women’s Tennis Team, practices will be moved to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-730pm at the Coliseum Varsity Tennis Courts. Dues for semester will be $35 and includes a WVU Club Tennis t-shirt.
Fall Practice Times

Fall practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm at the Coliseum Varsity Tennis Courts. The first practice will be on Monday, August 30th.
End of the Semester

We will not be having anymore practices this semester. Also, there will not be any practices this summer. An e-mail will be sent this summer regarding the practice schedule next semester. Good luck on exams and have a great summer!
Spring Practice Times

Starting April 5, 2010, practice times will be Monday and Thursday 5pm-7pm at the Coliseum Varsity Tennis Courts.
Winter Court Times

Starting Jan. 11, 2009, our practice times will be Monday and Thursday 9-10pm. We will play at Ridgeview Racquet Club. The club covers the court fees, however there are the normal $30 semester dues to help the club function, and cover costs.

First Practice!

Our first practice will be August 24th. That is the first Monday back from classes. We realize that fall fest is going on. However we will open the courts at 5:30 for those who want to get together and hit before going to fall fest. A group of us will probably head down together to the event, and we encourage anyone who wants to join us to do so! We will be playing at the lower coliseum tennis courts!

End of the semester

Its the end of the year and our first year was amazing. We started out weak and are growing into the big shoes we have to fill to compete in our section. We played a total of about 8 dual matches, and in 4 tournaments. We also held our own league, and tournament.
Going into next year, dates to remember are the following tournaments:
- Oct. 3-4, 2009 – Greenbrier Cup – Hosted by WVU Club Tennis and USTA WV
- Oct. 10-11, 2009 – Maryland Fall Invitational – Hosted by University of Maryland Club Tennis
- Oct. 17-18, 2008 – UVA Fall Classic – Hosted by University of Virginia Club Tennis
- Oct. 24-25, 2009 – Hokie Classic – Hosted by Virginia Tech Club Tennis
- Nov. 14-15 – USTA/VA Tennis on Campus Fall Invitational – Hosted by USTA VA (held at Mary Washington, Fredericksburg, VA)
Officers will be meeting to discuss which events we can make. However, we are 100% committed to the Greenbrier Cup, as we are hosting it!
Also of note is a new points system for rankings in Mid-Atlantic. The more points we earn at tournaments, the better our ranking!
More announcements will be made over the summer about dual matches, and local play.
